Why should I sell my laundry textiles to faircollect instead of disposing of them?
The key difference lies in material recycling. While thermal recovery (incineration) releases CO₂ and destroys resources, we return textiles to the circular economy. By working with us, you improve your environmental footprint while generating additional revenue from what would otherwise be considered waste.
What condition do the textiles need to be in?
For high-quality further processing, the textiles must meet the following criteria:
- Dry: Moist goods are prone to mold growth, making material recycling impossible.
- Hygienically safe: We do not accept infectious textiles or textiles heavily contaminated with hazardous substances (e.g. oils, chemicals).
- Material purity: Separation by material (e.g. pure cotton vs. blended fabrics) is desirable but not mandatory – we are happy to advise you on how pre-sorting can optimize your revenue.
How do logistics and collection work?
Professional logistics are our strength. We offer flexible solutions:
Regular collection cycles (optional): Depending on the volume, we arrange fixed dates or collections on demand.
Large volumes: Thanks to our logistics network, we are also specialized in very large quantities (truckloads).
How is the purchase price determined?
The payment is based on three key factors:
- Material composition: High-quality natural fibers (e.g. 100% cotton) usually achieve higher prices.
- Quantity: Economies of scale in logistics have a positive impact on your revenue.
- Market conditions: We base our pricing on current raw material prices for secondary fibers and guarantee fair, market-driven conditions.
